I’ve heard about it,
but what’s the NDIS?
The National Disability Insurance Scheme, frequently referred to as NDIS is a government
initiative
that allows people under the age of 65 that have a disability to get access to critical and
helpful
support and services they often otherwise would not have access to. It also helps families and
carers with services and information to better support the person with the disability.
As an insurance scheme, the NDIS takes a lifelong approach, helping people with a disability
live a
fulfilling and normal life, and as their circumstances change, the care given by the NDIS can be
tailored and adapted to suit the individual and their specific care requirements.
With the NDIS, you can be absolute certain that if you’ve been born with, or have had the
misfortune
of acquiring a permanent or significant injury or disability, you’re backed by the number 1
leader
in support and care, The NDIS.
